Unfortunately we are unable to plant any trees around our current energy inefficient office but fortunately it will be knocked down within the next few years to make way for a large development, where we will move into a great new energy efficient office.
This should include various solar control systems such as adjustable blinds, solar films on the windows and more efficient internal heating and lighting controls. We hopefully won't be reducing the size of our windows however as we have a beautiful view of the Solent.
Until the building is knocked down solar gain or over heating is not a problem for our north facing office. We have the complete opposite problem as it's too cold in the winter. So we are current trying to insulate the windows by using bubble wrap!
I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures of people planting trees!
